April Saturday the 28th March saw a large group of drivers and their partners descend on Skegness for the 2nd annual truckersworld get-together.

This time it was held in The Savoy Hotel with a private function room, a top of the range disco and good buffet. The evening went extremely well with members putting a face to a name from the forums and building up on friendships. Plans for the next get-together are now in hand and hopefully next year will see even more drivers attending for a night of fun.

Truckersworld are at present in talks with the Conservative party aiming for a further meeting to continue our fight for better facilities and improvements for our health, safety and welfare. Truck Crime seems to be continually increasing and as such the urgency for better overnight secure parking must be brought to the top of the agenda. more news and dates for the meeting will be posted on the forum in due course.

At the same time we continue to talk to Ministers at the DfT, our meeting opened the doors for the voice of drivers to be heard and we will continue to push your issues and concerns to ensure that we are not forgotten.

Truckersworld are very proud to have gained the support from one of the leading "truck stuff" suppliers in the UK, http://www.truckstuff.co.uk

They are now the sponsors of the "Truckstops and Cafes" adding to our credibility as a point of contact and hopefully it will benefit both parties in the future, on behalf of our members I would like to thank CDC Truckstuff for their support. It is now easy to find their shops or online shopping via this website or the forum in question, just look for their logo:- www.truckstuff.co.uk
