June & July

Possibly the quieter Months of the year, but the letter writing and contacts continue. The end of June saw more members of Truckersworld join up for our second social get-together, this time in Carlisle and with a camping theme. A fantastic couple of days were had by all who attended and the next day on the forum was talk of when is the next one. Although Truckersworld has a very serious side of trying to bring about change it is also very important in trying to bring about unity in our profession. Meets like this allow members to put a face to a name, build up friendships and bring together an inportant part of truckersworld, "Professional Drivers Uniting" More information on this excellent W/end can be seen on the forum and if you fancy the idea of a few beers with colleagues and building up friendships then why not join in and come along to the next get together, All are Welcome.

On the forum at the moment is a question from Truckersworld asking its members what they want to see in the future, how we can continue and ensure we work to bring about the changes and attract more members. not many ask its members, but Truckersworld is truly membership orientated and views and opinions are always taken into account.

Due to the negative feed back from the DfT on the problems of overnight lorry parking, truckersworld will be contacting the Shadow cabinet to express our concerns on the lack of action and to find out their views and to hopefully get assistance in moving things forward. voters are important to both parties, so we have to use any means to fight our cause. Please consider registering on the forum and adding your name to our aims at getting improvements, numbers is our only means of getting people to listen and talk to us on your behalf. It is all free and with the forum building up to an informative, serious site, it also has its enjoyable forums of fun and banter. It can get addictive. hope to see you on there soon, and make sure you introduce yourself and get a warm members welcome.
