This Month saw me have to cancel what could of been the first ever Truck Drivers Conference due to lack of support from drivers. Truckersworld is a free site to all and has no means of income therefore only confirmed bookings could of made it viable. It could well of offered us a platform to present our issues to people in the right place to make the changes. I would appreciate any drivers contacting me, or going to the forum to add your view point on the conference and why you consider it did not warrant support so that maybe another year I could plan it better. As one thing fails so we succeed in another.

Truckersworld has now managed to get a meeting arranged with the Operations Director of the Extra MSAs, this meeting is a follow on from the other MSA operators and offers us a chance to meet with them and discuss our concerns and issues. The meeting to be held on the 23rd of this Month, will allow me to put forward proposals and idea's on better security and facilities and adding value for money when paying over your £14.50 More information on the forum and the meeting will be discussed on there afterwards.

Once again I have contacted Ruth Kelly MP (Secretary of State for Transport) and asked that a meeting with our lobby team be made possible, a 2-5 year delay before any thought is put into the problem of overnight parking is just not acceptable and this needs urgent government attention. Truckersworld has worked on a proposal to introduce better overnight parking facilities, to work throughout the UK and at no cost to Government or Drivers. In time the proposal would bring about competition which could lead to improvements across the board. Will the DfT listen to Drivers though, we are the ones that see the problems daily and can often see a simple solution to a problem. We are also pleased to announce that

Truckersworld reached new heights by attaining 40million hits a year, quite an achievement in a short period of time by the internet standards, this is still growing and as more members join so the debates and discussions on the forum become more interesting. So why not join our little community to make new friends and comrades and add your view to the many subjects discussed on the forum. It is Free simple to register and you will be made very welcome by the members already on there.
